The flames grew higher and higher as it tore through the structure, The young girl stood far enough to not get injured but close enough to hear the screaming. Tears streamed down her face as she drops the gas can, letting it hit the grass beneath her. She stares at the disaster she just created. "nuuh." A groan escaped as she tossed her head to the right side of her bed. "Please. Let me out!" The girl pleads as she holds onto the steal polls that kept her in a small closet like room. Her cries and screams envelop the darkness that surrounded her. A sharp twitch of her leg causes her leg to jolt. "Wait! Mommy, Daddy!! You forgot..me.." The small girl runs to the pathway as she sees the horse and carriage trot further and further away. The girl watched as her parents left her in a field not far out of town. "N-No..St.." She lets out as sweat starts covering her body and her heart rate accelerates. She quickly turns her body to the left and clutches her pillow

Sighing softly to yourself, you quickly swept up the broken pieces of glass that littered the floor. The other three servants stood off to the side, bashfully staring at the floor. They had all three managed to make multiple messes around the Phantomhive manor. Meyrin had dropped the plates that you were currently sweeping into a large pile, Baldroy had set the kitchen on fire after he insisted on using his blowtorch to cook a large piece of now unidentifiable meat, and Finny had accidentally tossed a new garden statue through a window on the lower floor of the manor. Hearing them breathe in as they prepared to apologize to you, you shushed them. “Do not apologize to me. Apologize to Master Ciel and Sebastian. But not to me.” Dumping the remains of the plate into the nearby trash can, you sighed. As you went to speak again, the door opened, interrupting your train of thoughts. “My, what have we here?” You could hear the disappointment in the low voice that spoke.

Your lips parted ever so slightly, allowing the taste of his cologne to dance across your tastebuds. It was bitter, but you loved the flavor.
"W-What are you?"
The dull crimson that pooled around his pupils was practically shimmering; you were both enveloped in shadows, hidden from everyone and everything. This was completely private. You might have felt special if it weren't for the many other secrets circulating around the estate.
This moment that the two of you shared, this mock intimacy...it was just another game.

"(y/n)!" echoed through the halls of the dimly-lit Trancy manor, late in the evening. (y/n) sighed as she stood and dropped the scrub brush she had just been using to scrub vigorously at the floor where Alois had tracked in multiple layers of mud. The same shout echoed again, only slightly more desperate this time. The maid, quite young for the occupation, drug herself down the hallway to Alois's room, a room she grew tired of being called into every few hours, even during the night.
"What do you need now, Alois?" she asked, trying to sound as awake as she could manage. His eyes darkened into a glare at her remark.

An Act? Joker x Reader
It had been a little over two weeks since you had officially joined the circus. Leaving your home and your possessions behind had been a difficult decision, but as the days went by, you were more and more glad that you'd made it. Adjusting to life on the road had definitely been the hardest part, however. The waking up early, walking the streets to pass out fliers and never getting a full moment of rest were all things you were still struggling to get used to. These things had gotten easier as time went on, but when you had been offered the chance to sleep in this morning, you excepted immediately. Honestly, you could have slept the w

"So many eager faces still waiting to play, but which one of you do I want to choose?" A slender finger resting on his chin, Grell took a few seconds to study the group before letting out a dramatic sigh. "The pressure is almost too much to take!" Sudden pointing at you, he signaled for you to join him. "You! Hurry up here before someone else catches my eye."
"Right. Okay." Even now, his overdramatic tenancies and flashy way of doing things left you feeling confused and maybe even a little uncomfortable. Never the less, you left your seat and headed towards the large red handbag. As soon as you reached it, you placed your hand inside

Sheets of rain cascaded to the earth. The patrons of the planet cowered in their homes from the chilling storm, considering a fool of those who still wandered the streets. It was freezing rain, after all, only an idiot would dare prance in the puddles. Or an escapee.
(y/n) found herself pausing from her great venture to take in the sense of freedom. It was fresh, just as the freezing rain, washing over her and making her shiver. Her dress would be ruined forever from the soaking wet atmosphere, but now she had the chance to choose her dress for herself. A gentle laugh escaped her lips. Freedom smelled like petrichor.
Just as she

“It’s not me! I’m not the witch!” screamed (y/n) desperately as she was given distasteful glares from around the room. No one believed her because she could swim - only a witch could float. The trials had dragged on through the year, first starting by accusing the outcasts, but soon, everyone was a suspect, all because of the “evidence” they had. (y/n) would slam her hands on the table, and all six girls that claimed to be possessed and seeing spirits would slam their hands down. She’d cover her face to cry, and the girls would cover their faces as well. (y/n) knew they were lying, but she had no way

“Sebastian, who is at the door?” Ciel barked as he snapped open the crisp newspaper Sebastian had brought to the parlor. The fresh scent of tea was rising through the morning air, and Sebastian’s perfect smile glistened in the early morning light.
“I shall check right away, young master,” he said before walking of the brightly lit parlor. Ciel frowned into the morning news as he crossed one thin leg over the other, resting his pale cheek on his curled fist. Suddenly, a burst of slamming doors yanked him from the serenity he had achieved, and (y/n) quickly rushed into the room.
“Ciel!” she said bre

“(y/n), they will never come if you try to call for them like that,” Agni said with a gentle laugh, waving his arms around in a mockery of her way to call attention from an elephant. She laughed in reply, an embarrassed blush taking her features as she held her arms behind her back.
“Perhaps I should just let you do it,” she said with a smile, resting her head on his shoulder as he gently coaxed the young elephant closer to them - its trunk fanned the air with a gleeful trumpet, and its thick ears flapped as Agni placed a hand between its eyes.
“Bless you and all creatures like you,” he said with a smil
